Portsmouth, Ohio – For the third time in four weeks, Anna Havranek (JR/Sugarcreek, Ohio) has won Mid-South Conference women's cross country Runner of the Week honors.
Havranek, a junior from Sugarcreek, Ohio, competed at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, October 1st, hosted by the University of Louisville. Havranek finished ninth out of 406 runners, ending with a time of 18:22.19. Her finished aided the Bears as they finished in second place overall, only behind Grand Valley State (NCAA-II).
The award is the third that Havranek has earned this season. She previously took the award for the week of September 5-11, finishing in first place at the Mid-South Conference Preview and aiding the Bears in winning the team meet. Havranek would then finish 22nd at the Iona Meet of Champions the week of September 12-18.
Havranek and the Bears' next scheduled meet is on Friday, October 14th when they compete in the Wilmington College Invitational.
