"We are excited about adding Steve to our staff," said Jeff Hamilton, director of athletics at Shawnee State. "As we begin competing in both men's and women's tennis, his energy and passion for tennis will give us a great start. It's a little difficult starting mid-year but I have great confidence that our student-athletes will take an immediate liking to Coach Boone.
"He's a great fit for the future of our tennis program. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with him."
"I am very happy and excited to be a part of Shawnee State as the new men's and women's tennis coach," said Boone. "I'm looking forward to a productive and competitive season."
