Portsmouth, Ohio - Shawnee State men's basketball continues their home stand on Saturday afternoon when they host (RV) Lindsey Wilson.
The Bears are 7-11, and sit 0-6 in the Mid-South Conference. Shawnee State fell to Cumberland (Tenn.) 79-67 on Thursday night.
The Blue Raiders are 14-7 so far, and are 2-4 in the MSC. Lindsey Wilson lost to #2 Georgetown 73-62 on Thursday night.
Jayllen Carter (JR/Portsmouth, Ohio) is leading SSU in scoring with 15.3 points per game, adding in 4.1 rebounds per contest. Frederick Moore (JR/Cincinnati, Ohio) is averaging 13.3 points per game, adding a team-high 7.9 rebounds per contest. Fred returned from injury on Thursday night, scoring 25 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Tamal Watkins (FR/Columbus, Ohio) has added 10.8 points per game this season.
Charles Sutton leads Lindsey Wilson, averaging 17.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Dmitry Utolin has added 13.4 points per game, and Bryan Wallace has chipped in with 11.7 points per game.
Shawnee State are 5-10 all-time against Lindsey Wilson, but have won the last two games in the series. The Bears won on January 14th of last year 66-58 at home, then defeated the Blue Raiders on the road 56-55 on February 16th.
