Wilmington, NC – Seth Farmer (SO/Waverly, Ohio) won the one mile run to lead Shawnee State track and field at the UNC-Wilmington Invitational this past weekend.
Farmer finished the mile in 4:19.52, beating SSU teammate Adrian Ross (JR/Chillicothe, Ohio) by two seconds. Ross finished with a time of 4:21.95. Farmer also finished third in the 5000 meter run, with a time of 15:16.82. The men would finish 10th out of 21 teams overall.
The Shawnee State women finished 14th in the meet. The best finish for the Bears was Megan Ashton (SR/Proctorville, OH), who finished sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:14.83.
Shawnee State track and field return to action this weekend when they participate in the 49er Classic at UNC-Charlotte on Friday and Saturday.
