Charleston, WV – Anna Havranek (JR/Sugarcreek, Ohio) would lead Shawnee State track and field over the weekend at the Charleston Invitational, winning the women's 800 meter and 1500 meter run.
Havranek, a junior from Sugarcreek, Ohio, won the 800 meter with a time of 2:27.00, and came first in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:55.00. Havranek's two wins were the best for the Bears over the weekend.
Shawnee State's men would also get wins this weekend as Parker Blain (JR/Marietta, Ohio) and AJ Barber (JR/Galena, Ohio) would tie for first in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.00. Ethan Richter (JR/Chillicothe, Ohio) would then win the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:03.00.
Shawnee State track and field are back in action this weekend. On Friday, March 31st, the Bears will be at the Washington University Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Missouri, and will follow that up on Saturday, April 1st at the Miami Duals at Miami University (Ohio).
