Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State tennis dropped both halves of a doubleheader on Thursday, losing 9-0 to Georgetown in both the men's and women's matches.
Shawnee State's men had only one player win a game from his opponent, as Matthew Bryant fell 6-1, 6-0 to Cole McCreary.
SSU's women's best performer was Shelby Hay (SO/Louisa, Kentucky), who lost to Georgetown's Shae Henry 6-1, 6-2. Adrianna Johnson (FR/Clarksville, Ohio) was the only other Bear to win a game in singles, losing to Katie Eden 6-2, 6-0.
The losses drop both Shawnee State teams to 3-8 overall. The SSU men are 0-6 in the Mid-South Conference, while the women finish 1-5 in the league.
Shawnee State tennis wrap up their regular season on Wednesday, April 19th when they play at Indiana University-Southeast. First serve in New Albany, Indiana is set for 3:00pm.
