Berea, Ohio – Shawnee State track and field wrapped up their regular season on Friday afternoon, participating in the Harrison Dillard Twilight Meet at Baldwin-Wallace University.
Adrian Ross (JR/Chillicothe, Ohio) was SSU's best finisher for the men, winning the 5000-meter run. Ross, already qualified for the NAIA National Championships, won by 14 seconds with a time of 15:20.58. Matthew Cheeseman (JR/Lowell, Ohio) would narrowly miss out on qualifying in the 1500-meter run, finishing fourth in the meet with a time of 4:05.46.
Shawnee State's women only had one runner active on Friday. Anna Havranek (JR/Sugarcreek, Ohio) would finish fourth in the women's 5000-meter run with a time of 17:33.73. Havranek is already qualified for NAIA Nationals in that event.
Shawnee State track and field will now prepare for the NAIA National Championships, to be held in Gulf Shores, Alabama May 25th-27th.
