Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State track and field's Anna Havranek (JR/Sugarcreek, Ohio) was named a NAIA All-American for her performance in the 10,000-meter run at the NAIA National Championships over the weekend.
Havranek, a junior from Sugarcreek, Ohio, finished second overall in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 36:42.88. Havranek earned her second consecutive NAIA All-American award, winning it for the 10k last season as well.
In addition to Anna's award, Shawnee State had multiple student-athletes on both the men's and women's teams named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Kate Spencer (JR/Glouster, OH), Megan Ashton (SR/Proctorville, OH) and Cara Dillon joined Havranek for the women. SSU's men had Ross, Chad McComas (JR/Proctorville, Ohio), Andrew Polanco (JR/Woodbridge, N.J.) and Mark Scout (SR) as NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award winners.
