Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State men's and women's golf both finished fourth out of five teams in the IU-East Invitational on Friday.
The big story on the day was Holley Hart (FR/Falmouth, Kentucky), who finished in third place for the tournament on the women's side. Hart's third place finish is the highest ever finish for a SSU women's golfer in program history. Hart with a score of 78 on the day, the lowest individual round in program history. Shawnee State's overall score of 357 is also a program low for team score, 103 strokes better than last year's best score.
Shawnee State's men saw Jordan Tieman (FR/Portsmouth, Ohio) tie for fourth overall by scoring a 73 on the day. Dagan Abdon (JR/Greenup County, Ky.) and Jacob Braskett (SO/South Bloomfield, Ohio) each shot a 75 on the afternoon.
Shawnee State golf will be back in action on September 4-5 for the Lindsey Wilson Invitational.
