Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State bowling will begin their historic inaugural season this weekend when they travel to Louisville to play in the Louisville Collegiate Classic and Thomas N. Burris Memorial Tournament.
Last week, both Shawnee State teams were picked to finish in 11th place in the Mid-South Conference preseason poll. SSU's men received 16 votes in their poll, while the women got 18.
Shawnee State will first participate in the Louisville Collegiate Classic, to be held at King Pin Lanes in Jeffersonville, Kentucky. Shawnee State will see multiple Mid-South Conference teams, including Tennessee Wesleyan, Campbellsville, Cumberlands (Ky.), Cumberland (Tenn.), Lindsey Wilson and Bethel (Tenn.).
The Bears will return to action on Saturday, September 24 when they play in the Thomas N. Burris Memorial Tournament. SSU will see the same conference opponents on Saturday at Executive Strike and Spare Lanes on Saturday.
