Portsmouth, Ohio – Shawnee State men's soccer fell in Mid-South Conference action on Wednesday night, losing to Life University 5-0.
Life would get the scoring opened up in the first half when Wessley Soronellas headed home off of a Bastian Buechler cross to put the Running Eagles up 1-0. Life would get another goal in the 42nd minute as Thierry Jules would finish past Shawnee State goalkeeper Matt Boreman to make the score 2-0, where it would stand at halftime.
A physical first half would see Life get their third in the 67th minute, as Ricardo Lawrence would smash home to put Life up 3-0. Marek Beno would then get two goals in the final minute to ice the game for Life, dooming Shawnee State to a 5-0 defeat.
The loss drops Shawnee State to 2-11-0 on the year, and 0-2-0 in the Mid-South Conference. Life improves to 7-4-0 and 2-0-0 in the Mid-South.
Shawnee State returns to action on Saturday, October 7 when they play at Georgetown. Kickoff for the men is set for 4:00pm.
