Final Top 25 Poll

PORTSMOUTH – For the 18th time in program history, and third straight year since joining NAIA Division I, women's basketball is headed to the NAIA Tournament. The 32 tournament qualifiers were recently announced and as expected the Bears grabbed one of the at-large spots after another solid regular season. SSU was the sixth at-large team selected out of 14. The Bears finished the regular season with an overall record of 23-9 that featured five victories against teams that were ranked in the top 25 when they met up.

You can watch the selection show live tonight at 8 p.m. EST through the NAIA web site to find out when the Bears will hit the court next week for their opening round game and who their opening round opponent will be.

The Mid-South Conference is sending the most teams of any conference for the second consecutive season. In addition to Shawnee State, Campbellsville, Cumberland, Cumberlands, Georgetown and St. Catharine will also take part in the NAIA Championships for the women's side.
