Branch Rickey Park
Historic Branch Rickey Park is the home of the Shawnee State Baseball Team. Located on the bank of the beautiful Ohio River, Branch Rickey Park is located off campus, off of Boundary Street. The park has been in existence since 1935, and is the home to the Bears since they returned there to play in the spring of 2010. Branch Rickey Park has seen some facelifts during the Ted Tom era including re-seeded and new sod on the infield, a new mound, new bullpens, warning track and net backstop, and renovations of the bathrooms and locker rooms. The stadium seats approximately 1,500.
Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center
The Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center is home to the Shawnee State Tennis Team and was formally opened on Sunday, October 26, 2008 through the contributions to the Pledge for Tomorrow Campaign by Dr. Daehler and his wife. The Tennis Center has six state-of-the art outdoor courts and is located on campus on the corner of Union and Second Street.
Boone Coleman Field
Boone Coleman Field has been the home of the Shawnee State Softball Team since the team’s inception in 1989. It is located off campus at Doctor Singleton Park in West Portsmouth, Ohio, on State Route 73/104.
Elk’s Country Club
The Elk’s Country Club has been the home of the Shawnee State Golf Team since the team’s inception in 1989. The par 72, 18-hole course, playes 6,677 yards from the championship tees. The course has a rating of 70.7 and a slope of 116.
Shawnee Turf is home of the Shawnee State Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams and was opened on September 8, 2010. The turf field was completed over the old Shawnee State Soccer Field. Shawnee Turf is located on campus, behind Shawnee State Townhouses, off of Second Street.
Earl Thomas Conley Riverside Park
Earl Thomas Conley Riverside Park is the home of the Shawnee State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams. The Park is located off of campus, just minutes away on State Route 52.
Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium
The Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium is the home of the Shawnee State Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams and the Volleyball Team. The gymnasium was renamed in the fall of 2009 and is located in the James A. Rhodes Athletic Center. The multi-use building also serves as a practice and training facility for all the other Shawnee State Athletic Teams. The gymnasium seats approximately 1,700.
