PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Softball) – Hannah Dittoe (SR/Pickerington, Ohio) has been named to the Mid-South Conference Second Team All-Conference following her performance this season, conference officials announced Thursday night.

Baseball - Fri, Apr. 29, 2016

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Baseball) –  A trio of Shawnee State baseball players have garnered Mid-South Conference awards, as Zachariah Freeman (JR/Richmond, Texas), Conner Wilson (SR/San Diego, Calif.) and Derek Moore (JR/Wheelersburg, Ohio) were each named First Team All-Conference, conference officials announced Wednesday evening.

Freeman grabbed First Team honors at second base following his first season with the Bears after hitting .326 during regular season play. The junior scored a team-high 28 runs, collected 33 hits and drew a team-high 27 walks. Freeman also stole a team-high 29 bases, ranking second in the league and 13th in the NAIA.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Golf) – Josh Zornes (SR/Ironton, Ohio) and Marshal Hall (SO/Zanesville, Ohio) have each been named Academic All-Mid-South Conference, the conference office has announced. In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Tennis) – Seven members of the Shawnee State women's tennis program have been named to the Academic All-Mid-South Conference squad, conference officials announced Thursday. In order to be nominated, student-athletes must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.
