PORTSMOUTH – Sophomores Sarah Biehl (SO/Lowell, Ohio) and Halle Richards (SO/Vincent, Ohio) are slated to make their NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championship debuts this week. Both Biehl and Richards have qualified in the 5,000 meters, while Richards has also qualified for the 10,000 meters. This season marks the first time in the four-year history of women's track that the Bears have sent two individuals to the NAIA Championships in the same season.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Women's track & field sent two individuals to compete at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Thursday and Friday at the campus of North Central College. The meet was the Bears' final competition before they send their qualified individuals to the NAIA Championships in two weeks.
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – Women's track & field got a pair of championship performances over the weekend at the Mid-South Conference Championships. Not only did the Bears claim two MSC victories for the first time in program history, they also scored a program-record 106 points during a sixth-place team finish. The Bears got 23 scoring performances in total.
PORTSMOUTH – Women's track & field placed five members of its team on the Mid-South Conference All-Academic team as announced by conference officials. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must be in at least sophomore academic standing and hold a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The five student-athletes named to the All-Academic team ties for the most of any year in program history.
PORTSMOUTH – Women's track & field is set to take on the Mid-South Conference Championships this weekend as the Bears travel to Williamsburg, Ky. for their fourth appearance in the conference championships. The University of the Cumberlands will serve as the meet host which will run from Friday, April 25 through Saturday, April 26.
