ST. CATHARINE, Ky. (Volleyball) – The Shawnee State volleyball team led in all three sets, including holding an advantage for nearly all of the second, but the Patriots of St. Catharine College battled back three straight times to earn a 3-0 victory Tuesday night at Lourdes Hall.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (Voleyball) – The Shawnee State volleyball team hit .229 as a team, and Paige Zelich (SR/Grove City, Ohio) recorded double-figures in kills with 11, as the Bears cruised to a straight-set victory over Campbellsville University on Saturday evening.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Volleyball) – Tiffany Jackson (SR/Williamstown, N.J.) recorded a team-high seven kills and Paige Zelich (SR/Grove City, Ohio) added five, but the Shawnee State volleyball team hit just .078 as a squad en route to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-17) defeat at the hands of the No. 22-ranked Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders at Frank & Janis Waller Gymnasium.

Lindsey Wilson (12-2, 1-0 Mid-South) started the opening set at a lightning pace as a pair of service aces from Yennifer Ramirez and kills from Nadelina Nesheva and Sarah Shilling elevated the visitor to a 7-2 advantage.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Volleyball) – The Shawnee State volleyball team brought a busy weekend to a close with a pair of wins over Kentucky Christian and Montreat College, winning 3-1 and 3-0, respectively to finish 3-1 during Alumni Weekend at Waller Gymnasium.

The Bears concluded a stretch which featured five matches in four days, as the squad prepares for Mid-South Conference play to begin next week.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Volleyball) – Less than 24 hours shy of a tough 3-2 loss versus Northwestern Ohio, the Shawnee State volleyball team responded in a big way, defeating the University of Rio Grande in straight sets (26-24, 25-22, 25-23) on day two of Alumni Weekend at Waller Gymnasium.

Lauren Helbig (SO/Mansfield, Ohio) and Tiffany Jackson (SR/Williamstown, N.J.) were each stellar on the attack, recording 11 kill apiece with .556 and .421 attack percentages, respectively. Devan Scarberry (SR/Franklin Furnace, Ohio) tacked on double-figure assists with 22 and Madison Smith (JR/Orrville, Ohio) added 11 digs.
