URBANA, Ohio (Golf) – Josh Zornes (JR/Ironton, Ohio) shot 76-75 over two days at the 2nd Annual Dye Intercollegiate en route to a plus-seven finish which was good enough for a sixth-place individual finish, as the Bears finished in a tie for seventh place in their opening tournament of the season at Urbana Country Club.
BARDSTOWN, Ky. – Josh Zornes (SO/Ironton, Ohio) capped up off his phenomenal week at the Mid-South Conference Championships with a birdie putt on his 54th and final hole of the weekend to finish Wednesday's third round with a score of 79. With his third straight day of scoring in the 70s, Zornes posted a three-day total of 223. That total tied him for sixth overall in the tournament with Cumberland University's Ryan Botts and Lindsey Wilson's Faderico Navarro. With his sixth-place finish, Zornes was named a second-team All-MSC selection.
PORTSMOUTH – Rob Pell (JR/West Union, Ohio) has been named to the Mid-South Conference All-Academic team for the second straight season as announced by conference officials. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be in at least sophomore academic standing with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
