ST. CATHARINE, Ky. (Men's Soccer) – The Shawnee State men's soccer team recorded zero shots on goal and allowed two first half goals, as the Bears were defeated, 2-0, at the hands of St. Catharine College on St. Catherine Turf.

Despite offensive efforts including 6 mis-placed shots and 2 corner kicks, the Bears were scoreless in the first half of play while rendering 2 goals to St. Catherine.

Men's Soccer - Tue, Nov. 4, 2014

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Men's Soccer) – The Shawnee State men's soccer squad will travel to St. Catharine, Ky., to take on St. Catharine College in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament Opening Round. The match is set for Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Bears represent the sixth seed in the MSC tournament, and will face the third-seeded Patriots. SSU finished Mid-South play with a 1-4-2 record with a 4-11-3 record, overall. The squad landed in a tie for fifth place, with the tie broken based on a head-to-head loss to the University of the Cumberlands.

ST. CATHARINE, Ky. (Men's Soccer) – The Shawnee State men's soccer team recorded 12 shots – including eight on goal – but were unable to find the back of the net, as the Bears fell, 1-0, to close out the regular-season slate versus St. Catharine College on Saturday afternoon at the Barber Soccer Complex.

Despite recording just three shots on target, St. Catharine was able to make on count, as Ashley Woods found the back of the net – assisted by Bradley Wilson – in the 37th minute.

GRAYSON, Ky. (Men's Soccer) – It took the Shawnee State men's soccer team just three minutes to find the net, and the Bears never looked back, scoring six times in the first half en route to a 7-0 victory over Kentucky Christian University on Friday evening.

The contest was stopped in the 71st minute, as darkness took hold and the game became official.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Volleyball) – The Shawnee State men's soccer team mounted attack after attack for 110 minutes, compiling 31 shots – 10 on frame – but was unable to find the back of the net, leading to a 0-0 draw versus the University of Pikeville on Wednesday for Senior Day at Shawnee Turf.

Following the double-overtime contest, seniors Josh Jackson (SR/Gallipolis, Ohio), Danny Parsons (SR/Waynesville, Ohio), Joseph Webster (SR/Kendal, Cumbria United Kingdom), Kevin Copenhaver (SR/Cortland, Ohio) and Tanner Hopwood (SR/Waynesville, Ohio) were honored for their contributions to the squad after their final home competition.
