COLUMBIA, Ky. (Volleyball) – The Shawnee State volleyball team hit just .083 against No. 8 Lindsey Wilson College en route to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Blue Raiders in a Mid-South Conference matchup on Friday night at Biggers Sports Center.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Volleyball) – Paige Zelich (SR/Grove City, Ohio)'s kill to take a 28-26 victory in the second set marked the 1,000th career kill for the senior, as Shawnee State avoided its seventh straight defeat, winning, 3-1, over Campbellsville University on Thursday night at Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium.

The Mid-South Conference victory pushed the Bears (12-13, 5-4 Mid-South) into a stronghold for fourth place in the conference, holding a 1.5 game advantage over the fifth-ranked University of the Cumberlands.

RICHMOND, Ind. (Volleyball) – After dropping the opening set in a hard-fought 26-24 defeat, the Shawnee State volleyball team could not overcome 24 errors, as the Bears fell in straight sets to Indiana University East on Tuesday at Chuck Mosey Gymnasium.

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (Golf) – The Shawnee State men's golf team concluded the Fall 2014 season with a ninth place finish at the Mid-South Conference St. Catharine Fall Tournament, shooting a two-day, 36-hole total of 646 at Bardstown Country Club.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Men's Soccer) – The Shawnee State men's soccer team fought through a driving rain storm and a two-goal deficit to score a pair in the second half before Martyn Sayer (SO/Liverpool, England) brought the game to a close with a nifty finish in the second overtime, as the Bears took a 3-2 victory over Bluefield College on Tuesday at Shawnee Turf.

Just moments before the 4 p.m. kickoff, the skies in Portsmouth opened up with a driving rain that would not stop throughout the conclusion of the match.
